REGISTERED MASSAGE PRACTITIONER

ERIN KENNEDY, RMP
Erin has been practicing massage in the area since 2001. She combines elements from her training in Swedish and deep tissue massage techniques, as well as myofascial stretching, to address each client's individual needs. She has an intuitive and nurturing touch, and has a knack for finding tense and troublesome areas that need attention.
Erin is certified in Nurturing The Mother® PreNatal massage and has worked with countless women to bring a comfort and ease to their pregnancies and post partum. Erin is also certified in Nurturing The Mother® Fertility Massage, expanding her offerings and support for women and families during the family building season. She has had the privilege of attending more than ten births as an amateur doula. Her additional training has included massage for elders, Thai yoga massage, and basic reflexology.
Her bodywork is influenced by the belief that human touch is a vital part of a person's overall well-being, and one that is often lacking in our fast paced and technological world.
Erin works with an intention to increase self-awareness around posture and movement, alleviate stress and discomfort, and facilitate lasting change, listening to a client’s body by becoming very still and quiet internally and holding a safe space for constrictions to reveal themselves as they’re ready to.

"When it comes to pregnancy and conception, there’s a tendency in our culture to place nearly all of the focus on the new baby, often overlooking the vital needs of the woman who is becoming a mother.
I feel very strongly about the importance of supporting women and their partners throughout this remarkable journey, thereby empowering them to be better caregivers and role models."

When we experience pain, tightness, or a limited range of motion, releasing the fascia of the body can often bring significant and lasting benefits. Myofascial Release is a hands-on therapy that targets both the muscles (myo) and the fascia. It uses a variety of techniques to promote pain relief, freedom of movement, postural balance and deep relaxation as restrictions are released.
Erin utilizes myofascial stretching techniques in virtually every session to create space in the tissues surrounding the muscles, which in turn allows the muscles to return to optimal resting length and tone. Learn more about Myofascial Release INTEGRATIVE REFLEXOLOGY®

Nurturing the Mother® Fertility Massage is a combination of specific techniques Claire Marie Miller developed through her own experience of conscious conception with her daughter in 1984. She incorporated the massage, fertility awareness, cleansing therapies, and visualizations into her practice and when she started teaching PreNatal Massage, she added fertility to the training as well. When she would demonstrate the fertility massage during class, she would ask for a student volunteer, often that student would conceive within one or two cycles. Many had been told they would never conceive.
Erin has used her training with Claire for many years offering Fertility work, and has since received certification in Fertility Massage with expanded coursework with Claire. We work with people at all stages of becoming pregnant, and are happy to be of assistance whether they are taking a fully natural approach or incorporating medical fertility support also. We have worked with many clients using Assisted Reproductive Techniques such as IUI or IVF. Clients report that this work is a really helpful addition to the precision, medically based ART procedures. Learn more about Fertility Massage |
I have a special place in my heart for folks who struggle with chronic pain. It can be exhausting and overwhelming, and takes such a steep toll on overall well-being. Seeing a client emerge from a session with a relaxed smile and a sense of relief and ease of movement is one of the best parts of my job.
