Multi-Therapist Sessions
When clients are experiencing more complex challenges, their progress during sessions isn't holding, multiple compensation patterns are apparent, or the client wants to speed up treatment are good opportunities for multi-therapist sessions with two or more therapists.
With a foundation in CranioSacral Therapy, the multiple therapist work brings a broader attention, increased energy, more security, and a great deal of experience to the client.
Multi-therapist work is effective for three main reasons. The first is structurally more therapists are going to be able to hold the entire compensation pattern. Second, more people mean more energy and often this correlates with added security, and less resistance which creates more efficient sessions. Finally, multiple therapists equal more skills and tools to best resource the client’s inner wisdom.
Generally, the client's primary therapist at Alchemy will make the recommendation and suggest the additional therapist(s).

"
"The amplification of energy during a multi-hands session often makes it easier as a therapist to perceive the whole body patterns and follow the client’s inner wisdom.
I am continually amazed at the changes that can and do occur in these settings."

MORE DETAILS ABOUT MULTI-THERAPIST SESSIONS
An Example
Our bodies create structural compensation patterns for the traumas endured and retained. Structurally these patterns are held in the fascia which is one continuous web around every cell from the bottom of the foot to the top of the head.
A session with multiple therapists increases the ability of each therapists to hold more of the global compensation pattern. For example, if someone had sprained her ankle and then a few months later developed neck pain on the opposite side of the ankle sprain this could be a compensation from the ankle and a change in her walk. If only one therapist is working with her they can work with the ankle sprain and work with the neck but will not be able to hold both ends of the pattern at once. This could mean the compensation moves to another area or that the pattern keeps coming back and the injury is not resolved. When there are two or more therapists they can each hold and address separate ends of the pattern and follow the tissue into direction of ease and barrier unlocking some of the stuck tissue. In this example, one therapist might be working with the ankle and the original injury, while another therapist works with the neck -the new symptom, and possibly another therapist works at the pelvis - a key place where the pattern is being transferred. If we picture the body as a mobile, each therapist holds an end and the balance point of the pattern can be relieved of pressure and the body is able to self correct. Scheduling
Multi-Therapist sessions must be scheduled in person or by phone. Online scheduling is not available.

Modalities and Details
Sessions are generally grounded in the wisdom of CranioSacral Therapy with at least one CST Therapist in attendance. At Alchemy we often combine this focus with Lymph Drainage Therapy or Myofascial Release Therapy, finding that the benefits from each therapy are multiplied by the presence of the other.
Planning Your Session
The client's primary therapist will generally facilitate Multi-Therapist sessions and make suggestions about additional therapist(s) to participate.
New clients interested in Multi-Therapist work are encouraged to start with an individual session with one of our primary therapists for a thorough intake. It is important for us to know the client and understand that their goals, this will build confidence and success for all sessions. Frequency

Often clients will intersperse Multi-Therapist sessions with regular sessions, for maintenance and integration.
