Myofascial Release
When we experience pain, tightness, or a limited range of motion, releasing the fascia of the body can often bring significant and lasting benefits.
Fascia is connective tissue that surrounds every muscle, nerve, blood vessel, and organ. It holds these structures together and gives them their characteristic shapes. Fascia can be thought of as winding throughout the body in a continuous sheet. This continuity can explain why tension in one area of the body influences freedom of movement and function in other areas. For example, fascial restrictions can explain why tightness in a hip might develop into a shoulder problem, or why a surgery or injury can have such lasting and widespread effects.
Myofascial Release is a hands-on therapy that targets both the muscles (myo) and the fascia. It uses a variety of techniques to promote pain relief, freedom of movement, postural balance and deep relaxation as restrictions are released.

"Not only does working with fascia help us physiologically release tension and create more space in our bodies, fascial work inherently helps us dip into our parasympathetic nervous system, the rest and digest response."
