THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE |
Sports massage has become a highly sought after specialty as it provides real results for people who are working towards a physical goal or objective, often seeking to excel in competition. Athletes come in all ages, sizes, shapes, and conditions. Whether you are a weekend warrior, casual runner, or an elite competitor or a professional athlete, sports massage is widely known to be a significant advancement in training techniques and it brings results.
Sports Massage at Alchemy brings in a holistic view of bodywork. Following some of the most successful bodywork models, we focus on three things: the individual musculature that you use in your sport, the relationship between them and your movement, and your individual training regimen. After addressing the specific muscular issues, we look at what elements of your movement have been affected by the sports massage. Sabrina is Nationally Board Certified in Sports Massage and will bring a variety of individual techniques to each session as needed to address your individual need. Some of the techniques employed are:

It combines Swedish massage with the hot stones, which are used as tools by the therapist. The stones are then rested on the body to allow the heat to further warm the body. The heat and the stones combine to work out muscle soreness and tension. Overall the experience is warming and nurturing, as you feel the heat sink into your muscles, bringing relaxation and peace.
